Let’s face it. We all fall madly in love with the hair, makeup and pretty manicures at fashion week. The right hairstyle or lip colour can really help bring a designer’s vision to life. For this season, eyes, lips, nails and even hair all got the Midas touch. Ponytails ruled the runways and makeup artists saw the cat eye from many different angles.

Deep Side Part
Pretty Ponytails – high, low, streaked and everything in between
Tomboy-chic ponytail at Rebecca Minkoff
Minkoff’s Fall 2014 collection is feminine with a menswear twist. TRESemme lead stylist Jeanie Syfu created a tomboy-inspired ponytail – neat and slightly messy at the same time.
Sci-fi inspired ponytail at Herve Leger
Bumble and bumble’s lead stylist Laurent Philippon created a sleek, futuristic ponytail, while colourist Zoe Wiepert added a pop of colour with bright blue and orange extensions.
Super high ponytail at Kate Spade
For Kate Spade, two ponytails are better than one. Garnier’s hair stylist Tommy Bucket says the hair was meant to reflect the collection’s inspiration – a trip to Shanghai. The hair team created a playful, high ponytail by straightening the hair completely and securing it with a piece of leather. For the models donning hats during the show, they did a simple low ponytail.
Sleek and low ponytail at Vivienne Tam
Tam was inspired by a trip to the Silk Road and the women she encountered there. Matthew Curtis, lead stylist for TRESemme, created the low, sleek ponytail and wrapped the hair around it to hide the hair elastic. Pretty clever, huh?
Which beauty trends from the runways are you loving so far? I can’t wait to see what Paris has to offer!
