For the first stretch of fashion month, the street style stars really brought their A-game. From sports bras to statement tees, varsity jackets to couture sneakers, it’s clear that the sporty look isn’t throwing in the towel anytime soon. Take a page out of New York’s playbook and kick your style up a notch next spring.
As the final days of summer slip away and we gear up to welcome fall in all it’s glory (Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, I’m looking at you!), let’s take one final look at the inspiring outfits spotted outside the Haute Couture shows in Paris…
Let the countdown begin. We’re only 2 weeks away from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015. Tune in to the live stream starting September 4.

Last summer, I couldn’t get enough of the skater dress. This summer, I’ll be embracing the drop waist dress. Here are three different takes on the warm weather staple from three of my favourite fashion bloggers…
Option 1: Dressy Casual
Gal Meets Glam blogger Julia Engel styled her striped drop waist dress with a jean jacket and ankle strap sandals.
Option 2: Casual
Jacey of Damsel in Dior paired this drop waist dress in the most gorgeous print with gladiator sandals. The perfect way to stay cool at music festivals and other outdoor events.
Option 3: Dressy
Christine, the Chicago-based blogger behind The View From 5 ft. 2 wore her little black drop waist peplum dress (with pockets!) with these pretty snakeskin heels and a statement necklace.
With summer right around the corner (here’s hoping), I’ve rounded up a few favourites I’d love to slip into this summer:
Nasty Gal Girl Talk Dress
Free People Moonlight Dancer Dress
keepsake Strangers Dress in Botanical Peach Print from Revolve Clothing
Michael Stars Drop Waist Embellished Dress from Revolve Clothing
Dolce Vita Inigo Dress from Revolve Clothing

Australia Fashion Week has come to a close. Stand-out moments were too many to count, but somehow I managed to narrow things down. Here’s a roundup of 10 things I’m loving from the shows…
Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosia walked for Alex Perry.
Models at We Are Handsome showed us a new way to wear snakeskin.
For the Maticevski finale, models wore flowers in their mouths.
This embellished sweatshirt at Alex Maticevski is to die for.
Clean, light, airy looks at Alice McCall.
Cool accessories at Maticevski.
Golden eyes at Bec and Bridge.
Ombre fringe at Aurelio Costarella.
Cool caps backstage at Raffles.
Futuristic headgear, flowing dresses and fur toppers at Carla Zampatti.
I first came across Andreea Diaconu in this model-off-duty shot from Paris Fashion Week and fell in love with her laid-back style.
Then I spotted her in the H&M Conscious Spring 2014 lookbook.
And now, the Romanian model showcases Mango’s surfer girl-inspired collection. I’m really loving the blue and white palette. Light, airy and perfectly beach-ready.
She also looks stunning in the brand’s ‘Minimal Cuts’ collection:
Who’s ready for summer?!
Golden Globe Award-winning actress Michelle Williams returns as the face of Louis Vuitton’s spring/summer ads. With her timeless beauty and adorable pixie cut, Williams shows off the French brand’s ‘city’ bags – the redesigned Lockit, the Capucines, and the Alma.
P.S. I’m dying over her bright red and fuschia lips and matching nails. I can’t wait for summer!

There’s nothing timid about the street style in Australia. From message tees and clutches to Prada prints and neon lace, showgoers at Australia Fashion Week have got a whole lot to say. Here’s a roundup of my favourite statement-making street style shots coming out of Sydney..
Pattern mixing may seem like a daunting task, but when mastered, it opens up a world of possibilities. Instead of standing in front of your closet each morning thinking you’ve got nothing to wear, try reinventing your favourite pieces. It’s also the perfect opportunity to have some fun with the clothes you’ve got hiding in the back of your closet.
Take a style cue from these ladies and mix things up…

Good to remember:
+ Keep it simple.
+ Stick to patterns in the same colour scheme.
+ Use stripes as your jumping off point. Stripes look good with leather, polka dots, floral, lace and even plaid or gingham.
+ Jazz up your look with an embellished clutch or animal print shoes.
+ Have fun!
What do you think about these looks? I can’t wait to start mixing things up for spring and summer!
