Nestled in the heart of the Corktown neighbourhood lies The Extension Room, home of The Extension Method. Founded by Collingwood native, professional dancer and certified fitness instructor, Jennifer Nichols, the Extension Method seamlessly weaves classical ballet technique with fitness conditioning and is “designed to give you the strength, posture and sculpted physique of a dancer”.
The method is adapted for personal fitness classes as well as group sessions like EM Barre 101 (a personal favourite!), EM Allegro Ballet Bootcamp, EM Developpe Ballet Sculpt, EM Adagio Stretch and lots more.
More than just a ballet fitness studio, The Extension Room hosts premier events year round. The main studio boasts 4000 square feet of open space, high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and a skylight that beckons natural light in.
Outfitted with a main bar, satellite bar, private change rooms with showers and toilets as well as Marley performance flooring or event flooring, this space provides the perfect backdrop for cocktail parties, formal dinners, art exhibits, dance and music performances, and fashion shows.
For details on the venue including rental rates, studio amenities and floor plans, visit Extension Room.
