Happy Easter weekend, everyone. This weekend, I’m setting aside some time to reflect on the sacrifice Jesus made for us all; the price He paid for every sin we have ever committed.
Got any plans? Tomorrow, I’ll be catching up with a few friends I haven’t seen since the start of the year. I’m also really, really excited for the special Easter service at church on Sunday evening.
If you’re relaxing at home and in the mood to catch up on some reading, here are a few links I loved this week…
+ Last week Sunday night, we completed a sermon series on Jesus & the Cross at Catch the Fire Central Campus. Check out free downloads of these sermons by our lovely pastor, Ruth Preston: The Set Up, The Divine Exchange and The Sacrificial Lamb.
+ A Survivor’s Guide for Canadian Journalists. “Journalists are are going to have to turn themselves into digital entrepreneurs, because, as my conversations at Western University show, you can’t just sit around waiting for someone to offer you a dream job anymore: the only way to carve out a living in this industry is to hustle on multiple fronts.”
+ Alyssa Joy’s post, What Is Your Calling? is such a wake-up call.
+ Last week, I picked up Astonish Me by Maggie Shipstead. Finally. I finished it in 4 days flat.
+ What I’m reading this week: Sous Chef by Michael Gibney.
