Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2015

dolce backstage

For Spring 2015, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana were inspired by Spain’s influence on Sicilian culture. Models marched out in exquisitely embroidered matador jackets paired with high-waisted bloomer shorts, crisp white bullfighter shirts, polka dot flamenco-style dresses, and fringed ponchos.

Dolce’s signature embellishments – jewels, lace and embroidery were front and centre. The sacred heart, the main symbol of the collection was embroidered onto Spanish lace dresses, cummerbunds and an opulent gold bustier. Boyfriend jeans received the royal touch with rhinestones while embroidered roses climbed up the front of black stockings. Hair was slicked back into severe, centre-parted chignons and adorned with fresh red roses and carnations.

True to form, the show ended on a high note with an army of models wearing crisp white shirts tucked into high-waisted scarlet shorts.
