Milan Fashion Week Fall 2014 :: Fendi

Fendi made history today. Drone cameras hovered above the audience, livestreaming the event for the first time ever. Walking exclusively for the label at Milan Fashion Week, Cara Delevingne swished down the runway dangling a tiny, furry version of Karl Lagerfeld on a string. Dubbed “Bag Boy Karlito”, the mini fur bug is this season’s version of Fendi’s Little Monsters – furry little creatures that hang from Fendi’s handbags.

In a backstage interview with Women’s Wear Daily, Lagerfeld shared the inspiration behind this collection – “A mix of sport and sophistication, no period references.” Cara D led the charge in a gorgeous knee-length coat with fox fur hood. Models showed off long dresses covered with tufts of fur and mesh details and coats with furry hoods and fur stoles draped over the shoulders. The coats were pretty incredible – some gave off a military vibe with patchwork detailing while others depicted a star-filled sky.

Now for the bags, booties and accessories. How amazing is that fur wrist cuff? And that fur and crocodile choker? A real showstopper.
