Happy Friday, friends!! It’s bitterly cold outside so I’m staying put. Last night, Peel Regional Police received over 100 calls from people who reported loud booms that rang out like gunshots in the night. According to officials at The Weather Network, those loud booms were a rare phenomenon called “frost quakes” – water deep in the soil freezing, expanding and cracking. While frost quakes pose no threat to the public, the deep freeze-like temperatures and severe wind chill certainly do. So layer up, everyone! What’s everybody up to this first weekend of 2014?
