Bark For Life 2013 :: One PAWesome event

I had loads of fun at the Bark For Life event in High Park this morning. So glad that the rain held off. I’ve never seen so many adorable pups in one place before. Our doggy obstacle course, doggy red carpet and of course, puppy and people massages were a huge hit! It was an unbelievable feeling to be part of such a worthy cause. I got more than a little emotional when the leader of the pack, Andrew shared his cancer experience and told us how his husband and pup helped him stay positive.

Before leading off the 5K walk, Andrew shares his cancer story with the crowd.

And they’re off!

Our lovely sponsors, Jessica and Vanessa from Paw Couture. From dog bowls to dog toys to travel items, Paw Couture has everything your pampered pooch desires. I couldn’t stop gushing over their adorable parody squeak toys with clever names like Chewy Vuitton, Jimmy Chew and Kate Spayed! Get it?! Ha.

A huge thank you to all our wonderful sponsors for coming out and telling cancer it barked up the wrong tree!

It was a pleasure organizing this amazing event with such a passionate and dedicated group of volunteers. Not only did I walk away feeling accomplished, I walked away with a whole new set of friends.

Already looking forward to Bark For Life 2014!
